PLANET OCEAN: DO YOU SEE IT?

In many parts of the world, Europe for example, it is beach season. August is the month when masses of people invade the sands by the sea, the Mediterranean.

At this time of the year, thousands of people head to the beach to roast their bodies, strut their stuff, show off their fat bellies or big boobs, flex their steroid muscles, swim or wallow on the sand, party all night long, clog the hotel drainage pipes with crap, fight over nothing, get high on drugs, get drunk, fuck or get fucked.... Any activities people can think of as long as these will break their boring existence, bring some pep to their fucking daily and year round routines (Fig. 1).

But how many of these high consuming beached people care about the ocean?

The vast majority of people does not give a shit about the ocean. They just give it shit. Tonnes of shit.

For these "developed" people, the ocean is just there to have fun with, get fish or lobsters from or go on a cruise. 

They do not see it as they should see it.

Most people around the world do not.

But the truth is that we live in miraculous blue planet: Planet Ocean.

Thus, folks, it is now high time to see it as we all should see it: As a living part of the planet worth taken care of, worth saving and loving. 

In fact, our lives depend on this. If we do not do it now, act now, we will not survive as a species.
